ay Nineteen (1/25/18): Seasons of Preparation
Although you have a God-given assignment, you were not necessarily born qualified to fulfill that assignment. Your dream and your assignment are from God, yes, but it will take some work on your part to prepare for it. Long hours, long days, and often many long years will be used in your life to prepare you to be the best you can be in your assignment. Discovering God’s will for your life is a wonderful joy, but often you won’t be able to see that vision come to its completion until much later down the road.

Day Eighteen (1/24/18): Rebelling Against Your Assignment
It’s pretty much human nature to rebel against God. We see it throughout the Bible. Today we’ll learn that as much as we may rebel, God will not be ignored. Jonah is the perfect Bible character to teach us this (you can read about it in our recommended reading). God called him to go to Nineveh: the place of his assignment. He wanted Jonah to preach to the Ninevites: the people of his assignment. And basically, Jonah went in the complete opposite direction, to Tarshnish.

Everything God creates is created to solve a problem. That might not be something you’ve thought about before. He is the master creator and designer. Therefore all his masterpieces are created perfectly, for a specific purpose. When we understand this, we can celebrate the uniqueness of all God’s masterpieces. One of the most wonderful and excellent things God ever created is you!
