50 Days to More: Day Nine
In the English language, a dream can refer to one of two things. The first type of dream is, obviously, what happens when we’re asleep. They’re our night visions (some of these are actually meaningful, while others can be pretty strange and confusing!). These types of dreams come to us while we’re asleep, and sometimes we don’t remember them at all. The other type of dream refers to our hopes, aspirations, goals, and visions. Regardless of weather our dreams come while we’re sleeping (through our subconscious), from God (as our goals), or while we daydream, they can be very spiritual in nature. They can help us figure our our assignments from God.
50 Days to More: Day Eight
Last week, we discussed that in order to see increase in our lives, we have to know who the true source of increase is: our mighty God! However, there is still more that we must do in order to see development in different areas of our lives. One of those things is that we must identify the God-given dreams inside of us!

We’re already at the last day of our first week of this devotional series! We have firmly established the fact that God himself is the one true source of increase in our lives. Day Six (1/12/18): The Promise of Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy is the “second law” that God gave to Moses for the new generation of Israelites. This is the book where we find the ten commandments. Before Moses teaches the Israelites about the new laws that they are to follow, he says this to the people:“The Lord your God has multiplied you, and behold, you are today as numerous as the stars of heaven. May the Lord, the God of your fathers, make you a thousand times as many as you are and bless you, as he has promised you!” Deuteronomy 1:10–11 (ESV)

Yesterday, we discussed that the story of Job teaches us that God is the God of double portion blessings. This is confirmed by the promise that Jesus gives us in Matthew chapter 10. In this scripture, a young rich man asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus answers the rich man by essentially rifling off the Ten Commandments (which this rich man--who was Jewish--already knew. And of course Jesus knew this, but He was preparing to reveal the true Gospel to this man). The rich man proclaims that he has kept all of these commandments.
